Psoriasis friendly spas
I was reading your column and would like your advice. My son was recently killed in an accident and I want to take his girlfriend away for a spa weekend, so that we can have some "quality time". She likes the idea but has psoriasis and is worried about the impact of treatments on her skin and sensitive about baring all in a spa environment. Can you suggest anywhere which would provide a quiet and caring environment that might also be able to help her? - 17 July 2009

Tipping therapists
I am confused as to whether I should be tipping spa therapists. Every now and then one reads conflicting articles and opinions and I wondered what your take on this is? - 07 January 2009

Winter-sun pampering
I am seeking the perfect combination for my annual spa indulgence where my family can satisfy their sporting needs. Most of my time will be relaxing in the spa so therapists must be both comfortable with my psoriasis and offer a wide variety of quality treatments. - 12 November 2008

Mums and daughters
I'm looking for a spa day where I can take my daughter after she has finished her GCSEs. I'm finding it tricky to find either spas that will take under 18s or to know what would be a sensible treatment package for her age. I would like this to be a shared 'mother-daughter' experience. We live in Cambridgeshire but am happy to travel, ideally to an area with other things of interest to make it a memorable occasion. - 25 June 2008

Can you suggest some good spas in Vilamoura, Portugal, where “golfing widows” can enjoy themselves? There are four of us and we aim to travel in October. - 14 May 2008

Kerala or the Maldives?
My 31-year-old daughter and I would like a week-long visit to a spa next February in either Kerala or the Maldives. We would like somewhere not too isolated (so we can venture out in the evening) and somewhere known for its good food. Have you any suggestions? - 19 September 2007

Spa questionnaires
On arrival some spas ask you to fill out questionnaires and others don’t – please can you tell me why this is the case, do I have to fill it out and is it really necessary to answer all the questions? - 08 August 2007

Las Vegas
I'm hoping you can help, I'm off to Las Vegas in May and the thrills of non-stop gambling actually don't do it for me. Could you tell me which is the best spa package in town? I'll definitely need a facial after the flight and a pedicure before going shoe shopping. - 10 May 2007

I’d love to spa but all the ones I read about seem to be extremely expensive. Is there an affordable way to the spa experience? - 14 March 2007
